She SAID: Holiday Shine

Shahada Karim

The Holiday Season is upon us. Turkey Day is just days away, and the slew of holiday parties aren’t far holidaybehind. Between food, drinks, air kisses (and more drinks), there isn’t much time to check in for a quick makeup touch up. Your best bet is to find a look that locks in and lasts through the night.

MAC teamed up with Prabal Garung for a collection truly worthy of the Season. The stars of the collection are the Lipstick and Lip Glass in Ultramarine Pink (mid-tone dirty violet), and the Matte Bronzer. Pair the lip color with Magenta Lip Pencil for a look that stays put until you take it off.

Givenchy’s holiday addition contains everything you need to make up the perfect holiday look. The Lip & Eye Palette Extravaganza contains four shadows and a ‘jelly’ blush in a convenient case that slips easily into a purse.Chanel Camelia de Plumes Highlighting Powder

Chanel took holiday highlights to new heights this season with the Camellia holiday4Highlight Powder. The company’s signature flower is stamped into a powder that blends gold and silver shimmer, for a neutral shine.

Matte Lips are making a comeback, and Tom Ford is leading the charge with a cozy selection of lipsticks. The crown jewelholiday2 is  Black Dahlia, a deep purple-berry shade. Use fingertips to press it into the lips for a ‘stain’ effect, or layer on straight from the tube for full, rich color.

Nothing says holiday like the perfect red. Christian Louboutin (he of the perfect red sole) bottled such a shade in Very Prive. The deep red nail polish is more tasteful than tacky, and looks amazing on any nail length.
